This year I was really torn about which gifts to include and which to skip. It was hard! I want to tell you to go out and buy all the pretty shinnies that are new in department stores buuuuuut… instead I think I will share with you only the most useful fashion necessities that I simply couldn’t live without!

For Men

No, not a cute valet boy who will pick up your beamer and dent it while parking it for you then expect a tip, no. I am referring to the kind that is essential to getting ready the next morning. This Valet will hang your pants, shirt, and coat for you so it isn’t wrinkled the next day. It will present to you your jewelry (watch etc.), accessories (pocket square, belt, tie, etc.), as well as all of your fully charged electronics in a neat orderly fashion. This is a marvelous invention and comes in handy for those dark nights when I’m digging in my closet for a particular tie or belt for the evening in the deep dark reaches of my closet. It is a tie and belt rack that has a light on it that rotates and shows you in a divine way your tie and belt options. It also keeps everything nicely separated so as to avoid snags etc. This simple invention is guaranteed to add years to your life as it cuts stress out of your life like a hot knife through butter! WHAT? Picking a tie is stressful!

Pearls!

Not traditionally a man’s gift, pearls are becoming quite the trend and are being worn by men in all tax brackets, of all ethnicity’s, as well as in many countries. Now I’m not talking a string of your grandmothers pearls, I am referring to the rugged look of a string of baroque Tahitian peals on a mans wrist, or a simple singular pearl as a feature piece on a necklace, or probably the most popular, cufflinks. Tahitian pearls are blackish in color and can have great luster. If there is one thing I can’t stand in my place or the place of others I visit, it’s their nasty @ss bookends that resemble… a flower or something. Lets jazz these paper relics up with some fierce bookends shall we? These fabulous stiletto ends are likely the best bet for holding up all of your Vogue’s or romance novels. Rest assured that when I enter your house for a couple bottles of wine, I will compliment you on your choice of fabulous book accessories instead of judging you if you had say… a couple gross glass dolphins inadvertently flipping you and your guests off. Avoid the wrath of a fashion blogger and pick up these bangin bookends now!

HANAair Hair Dryer – $194.99 (on sale from $350.00)

This super powerful ceramic infused hair dryer is the only hair tool you will ever need! It blows like a reverse hoover and actually adds beauty and strength to your hair as it goes! You know that one thing on a desert island question? I’d take my HANAair hands down!

Proenza Schouler PS1 handbag - $1150.00 – $5250.00

This bag has to be the most covetted bag on the face of the planet… next to the Birken… and select Louis Styles… or some Marc Jacobs… oh and that Marni from a few season back… okay well it’s amazing none-the-less and trust me when I say this. You will love this bag! The price tag is a bit steep but when you consider that the leather is all made in Italy and you are getting a luxury bag that is also extremely functional with 4 pockets, 2 metal zips, and all authentic metal finishes… it is worth it. The bag will sing in your hands as you carry it.

Tiffany Sunglasses – $220.00 – $480.00

The Tiffany sunglasses are the most overlooked brand when it comes to shades. Possibly because when people walk into the store where nothing bad can ever happen they immediately get distracted by all the diamonds and pretty shinnies. In any event here I am protecting you from snow blindness with your new pair of Tiffany face candy. I think Tiffany could have taken this opportunity to pump out some exorbitantly priced sunglasses for their affluent clients, but instead they decided to make a really reasonable, accessible, beautiful product that can be worn to any number of occasions.

That is the list of all things Christmas and if you get your partner or special someone anyone of these things they are guaranteed to love you even more! Just Kidding! They already love you hence the present swapping. No, in the end it is the thought that counts, these are just pleasant ideas that won’t leave you in the doghouse this Xmas!
