Blogging should always be fun and filled with inspiration. So as a fashion blogger, I make it a point to always dress for the occasional. I often find myself using my own wardrobe and clothing as my muse
The selection process is half the fun. For today’s post I thought I’d show you where the magic happens, or more specifically, where it happens when I’m home. This little nook is where most of my articles, brain-farts, and fashion insight pour onto the pages of The Marquis of Fashion.
I couldn’t live without a book shelf! I trimmed it down BIG TIME for the shoot because it looked a little crowded. Books may be out dated as soon as they are published, but some reference material never die and is imperative for accurate recalling. Magazines help to guide you in the latest fashion and act as a great resource to bloggers. I don’t know what I would do without my Vogue’s…. which (thankfully) you cannot see staked into five huge piles to the right (time for a new book shelve).
My fab white studded arm chair is awful for working on but it looks GREAT! It was also a steal! Literally I saw it at a furniture store and it was behind the sold section, I knew that I immediately needed to take it home with me so I could one day be photographed in it for you. The sales person said
“Well I’m sorry but it’s sold.”
Then she said
“Oh wait… let me see this… Oh this person bought this three months ago and still hasn’t picked it up yet. Our policy is that if you cannot remove it from the store within 3 months we will refund it to your card.”
And that is just what she did!
I immediately purchased it and stuffed it (with great difficulty) into a friends VW bug and took it home.
I’ve never looked back!
Sometimes when I get bored I like to dress up and sneak around the office and play spy. This Modern Tailor shirt and matching pocket square made looking the part a breeze! I am seriously lacking cool gadgets but that’s what I asked for for Christmas so soon I can show you all the cool fashion spy trinkets I got.
